Checkers program
Checkers program focuses on introducing the younger kids to the sport, so they have built a relationship with other programs in the Charlotte area to make sure these young athletes can continue their progress. They can use [Bojangles Coliseum] and be able to skate in our building, which makes the travel not as bad for some of these families, especially those who live in Lake Norman. You can add moves to a user book to force the engine to play certain lines - or to improve the opening book supplied with the engine. You can create multiple user books and select which one to use. Diagram-to-clipboard and notation-to-clipboard functions allow you to quickly paste your games into other programs like word for publication. A toolbar gives you rapid access to the most important commands.
A status bar lets the checkers engine display extensive information about the search. The window is fully resizeable from very small to very big - a feature which is surprisingly missing in some commercial programs. I have put them here for historical reasons. Please note: these engines are all compiled for 64 bit and will only work with a bit install of CheckerBoard! Also, these engines need the Cake databases, and will not work with Ed Gilbert's improved databases, whereas the current version of Cake can also use the KingsRow databases.
